How
to Measure for a Belly Band
For
the Waist Measurement:
Stand
your boy up on all fours on a flat
surface.
Take
your measuring tape and start at the top
of your boy's back and go around
your dog's waist across his penis and back
to the starting point. That's
it....that is your dog's waist size.....
easy right? ... remember:
Don't forget the pad... measure
your dog with the pad to get an accurate
measurement.
Make sure you measured snugly but not
tight. Measure your dog's waist
like you would measure yourself... not too
loose to fall off and not too tight
to be uncomfortable. You order
your dog's actual waist measurement
For the Band Width
Measurement:
With
your tape measure start measuring from
mid-shaft of the penis, past the
pee end to just in front of where the ribs
come together. Please
include the desired width you would like
your band to be.
For instance for ready made bands:
If your dog's
waist measurement is:
10
1/2" waist order a 10 1/2"
band,
if
10 1/4" waist order a size smaller
a 10" band
if
10 3/4" waist order the next size
up an 11" band
If your dog's
width measurement is:
4
1/2" width order a 4 1/2"
width band,
if
4 1/4" width order a size larger a
4 1/2" width band
if
4 3/4" waist order the next size up
a 5" width band
For instance for
custom made bands:
If your dog's
waist measurement is:
10
1/2" waist order a 10 1/2"
band,
if
10 1/4" waist order a 10 1/4"
band
if
10 3/4" waist order a 10 3/4"
band
If your dog's
width measurement is:
4
1/2" width order a 4 1/2"
width band,
if
4 1/4" width order a size larger a
4 1/2" width band
if
4 3/4" waist order the next size up
a 5" width band
You
will receive a SewDog Belly Band™
that is longer than your 10" order size
(we will add for the closure overlap).
SewDog Belly Bands™
are not stretchy. It is very important
to measure and order correctly.
